Friday evening and time to unwind with some good jazz. I’ve been switching up the system lately and keep coming back to my pristine 1971 Sansui 4000 receiver. Cap‑coupled amplifiers have a special place in my heart, and this one is my favorite so far. It delivers the warm, musical character of a good tube amp—solid bass, silky highs, and a velvet midrange that makes records breathe.
Starting the night with the Herbie Hancock Trio, then Miles, and a favorite bourbon while the Mrs. sets the table. Life is good. More on the Sansui 4000 in another post. Enjoy the weekend.
