The Harman Kardon Citation 16A amplifier was among the finest sounding amps you could purchase in the 70’s. Conservatively rated at 150 wpc, it could nearly double that figure into a 4 ohm load and when strapped in mono, put out over 500 wpc! This amp could drive anything, and I never noticed it ever running out of power or headroom. A true dual mono design, it had 10 output transistors per channel. It was a stunning design that would throw an effortless soundstage with precision spacing of instruments. Something that my Carver, Phase Linear and McIntosh amps struggled with. I recommend this amp to anyone wanting a powerful, non fatiguing, effortless sounding amp. More to come.
